Lim Choon Wee read law at University of
Wales, College of Cardiff. He underwent the Certificate of Legal Profession
course at the University of Malaya. He chambered at Messrs. Paul Ong &
Associates where he was exposed to various areas of the law, including the law
of defamation, shipping, intellectual property and land acquisition.
He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar at 9th
May 1998.
He had practiced law at Messrs. N.H. Wong &
Associates, Liew Hazalina, Yap, Liew & Partners, Lopez and Woon-Choon and
Hisham, Izauddin & Yoong before joining Paul Cheah & Associates as a
Junior Litigation Partner.
He has experience in civil and banking litigation,
including goods sold and delivered, courier claims, foreclosure, late delivery
claims, hire purchase, assignments, corporate guarantees, bankruptcy and
winding-up.
He is also well-versed in conveyancing practice,
having drafted documents such as Sale and Purchase Agreements and Deed of
Assignments.
He has also written opinions on maritime liens, minority
oppression and trusts.
